How Ontaym Works
Ontaym brings small groups of people together in real life - and you never have to organize a thing.
You've already done the first step: submitting your Interest Form told us where you are and what you enjoy. From there, Ontaym gathers demand: when enough people near you want the same kind of Meet, we email you.
You open the email and decide whether to join. Only when you join do you pay: one Meet Credit. Ontaym takes care of everything after that, including choosing a safe, public place for the group.
Grab a coffee. Explore a neighborhood. Go for a walk. Try something new.
No giant crowds. No awkward networking. No endless planning. Just people getting together.

Submit your Interest Form
Tell us your city, the kind of getting-together you enjoy, and when you're usually free. It takes about a minute, costs nothing, and no card is needed. Submitting the form is not a booking and commits you to nothing. It simply tells Ontaym what you'd like to happen in your city.
Ontaym gathers demand
While you get on with life, we look for enough people near you who want the same kind of Meet. There is nothing for you to do in this stage: nothing to check, nothing to organize, nobody to invite. If you would like your Meet to happen sooner, share your referral link - every person who joins brings your city's demand closer, and you earn free Meet Credits when the friends you invite show up.
We email you when there's enough demand
The moment enough people are in, we email you: your Meet is ready to move forward. That email is the one moment that matters, so keep an eye on your inbox (and your spam folder, just in case). Everything happens through email. You never have to check back here wondering whether something is happening.
You decide whether to join - and only then pay
Open the email and decide. If you join, one Meet Credit covers your spot: $20 on the web, or completely free when friends you invited show up. If you pass, you pay nothing - now or later. You never pay to wait, and you never pay to hope. Money only enters at the moment you choose to join.
Ontaym picks a safe, public place
Once you've joined, Ontaym chooses where your group meets. We look for somewhere central and easy to reach, comfortable for a group of six to twelve, and busy enough that nobody is standing around alone. We always meet in public. Shopping malls, pedestrian streets, public squares, busy neighborhood areas. Never clubs, bars, restaurants, or private homes. You always know you are meeting somewhere open, public, and easy to find.
Ontaym organizes the Meet
We settle the final meeting point and time, confirm the group, and email you everything: where, when, and how to recognize each other. A reminder follows the day before. You never host, never chase anyone, and never book anything. That part is our job. If a Meet doesn't attract enough demand, it doesn't move forward - and we tell you that plainly rather than leaving you wondering whether it is actually happening.
Show up and meet your people
A public place, an exact meeting point, and an Ontaym host who greets everyone. The host is one of the group: the first person who joined this Meet, there to make sure nobody stands around alone, not to run a programme. No speeches. No networking games. No forced icebreakers. No going around the circle to share your most interesting fact. Just show up. Say hello. Grab a coffee. Walk around. Talk. Laugh. See who you click with. The Meet has a planned length so everyone knows what to expect - but if everyone is having a great time, you can stay longer together.
Neden böyle çalışıyor
You never organize anything
Ontaym is the organizer. We decide when a Meet opens, propose where it happens, confirm the details, and have a host there on the day. Your part is three things: submit the form, answer your email, show up.
You pay nothing until you join
Submitting the Interest Form is free. Waiting is free. Passing on an invitation is free. A Meet Credit is spent only at the moment you accept an invitation - never before.
Small groups, real conversations
We're not trying to put hundreds of strangers into one room. Groups of six to twelve give people a better chance to actually talk, connect, and remember each other's names. The final number depends on who confirms.
Public places, not private venues
Meets happen in open, easy-to-find public places - a shopping mall, a pedestrian street, a public square, a busy neighborhood area. Not a nightclub, not a private home, not a random restaurant table. Ontaym chooses the spot, and you always know you are meeting somewhere public and accessible.
Invite friends - earn free Meets
Referring friends is the best way to earn free Meet Credits - and the fastest way to get a Meet going in your city. Three friends who join with your link and show up earn you one free Meet Credit; ten earn you five. Sharing your link costs nothing, and every signup brings your city's first Meet closer.
Sık sorulanlar
What's the difference between submitting the form and joining?
The Interest Form tells us you'd like a Meet like this in your city. It's free, and it commits you to nothing. Joining is what happens after our email: enough people are in, you decide it works for you, and one Meet Credit covers your spot. Joining makes you an actual participant of that Meet.
What happens after I submit the form?
You wait for our email - that's genuinely all. No payment is required, there is nothing to organize, and nothing to check back for. Ontaym gathers demand in your city, and when enough people near you want the same kind of Meet, the invitation lands in your inbox and you decide.
Do I have to pay anything now?
No. Submitting the form costs nothing and no card is needed. The only time you ever pay is when you open our email and decide to join - that is when one Meet Credit covers your spot. Until then, nothing is charged and nothing is booked.
What is a Meet Credit?
One Meet Credit claims your spot at one confirmed Meet. You can buy one for $20 on the web, or earn one free through referrals. Credits never expire, and a credit is only spent at the moment you accept an invitation - never before.
How do I earn Meet Credits for free?
Invite friends - it is the best way to earn free Meets. When 3 people join through your link and show up to a Meet, you earn 1 free Meet Credit. When 10 show up, you earn 5. Every person you invite also brings your city's demand closer to the threshold that opens its next Meet, so sharing your link helps you twice. Your invite link is on your Ontaym home screen.
When will Ontaym email me?
It depends on demand in your city - usually within a couple of weeks. A Meet only moves forward when enough people want the same kind of evening in the same area. You stay on the list either way, and you can leave it at any time from any email we send. Watch your inbox (and spam) so you don't miss it.
What if I get the email and decide not to join?
Then don't. Passing costs nothing and takes one click. Nothing is charged, and if you bought a Meet Credit it stays yours for a future Meet.
Why doesn't a Meet open immediately?
Because we first need to see whether enough people want it to happen. This is what keeps groups from never coming together. Think of the Interest Form as raising your hand. When enough hands go up, we move forward - and you hear from us by email.
Who decides where we meet?
Ontaym does. After you join, we choose a public place that works for the whole group: central, easy to reach, and easy to find. You get the exact meeting point and time by email, with a reminder the day before.
Where do Meets take place?
Always in public, easy-to-find places: shopping malls, pedestrian streets, public squares, busy neighborhood areas and similar spots. Never clubs, bars, restaurants, or private homes - the meeting point is somewhere everyone can comfortably find one another.
Who organizes the Meet?
Ontaym does. We open the Meet, choose the place, settle the final meeting point and time, and make sure somebody is there to greet everyone. The Ontaym host is one of you: the first person who joined that Meet. They are not staff and they run nothing. They simply arrive knowing the plan, so that nobody turns up to a group of strangers with no idea who to look for. You never create the Meet and never invite anyone. Your part is: submit the form, answer your email, show up.
Will people see that I joined?
Other members only ever see how many people are coming - not who. Ontaym keeps the participant list it needs to run the Meet. Expressing interest shouldn't expose you to judgment about your age, your job, or anything else. A Meet on Ontaym shows a count, not a name list.
Is Ontaym a dating app?
No. You might meet someone you really like. You might make a great friend. You might discover a new social circle. But Ontaym doesn't promise dates, romance, or romantic compatibility. What happens after you meet is up to you.
What if there aren't enough people interested?
The Meet may not move forward yet. We keep gathering demand, and you stay on the list - and if it becomes clear a Meet won't happen, we tell you that too rather than leaving you waiting without an answer. Nothing is ever confirmed until demand is real.
What if I change my mind after joining?
You can give up your place from the Meet page, and someone on the waitlist takes it. The cancellation and confirmation rules shown for your Meet explain the details, including how late cancellations are handled.
Do I have to stay for the entire Meet?
Each Meet has a planned length so everyone knows what to expect. If everyone is having a great time, you can always stay longer together.
How old do I need to be?
Ontaym Meets are for adults 18 and over.
Do I need to know anyone or bring a friend?
No - that's the whole point. You don't need an existing friend group, an invitation, or a plus-one. Everyone at a Meet signed up separately through Ontaym, just like you. You just need to be open to meeting someone new.
How do I create an account?
It takes a few seconds. Sign up with Google, or with your email address, in which case we send you a secure sign-in link and there is no password to remember. Once the account exists, submit your Interest Form and you are on the list for your city. From there you simply wait for our email.
Does Ontaym ask for my Contacts?
It does not. Ontaym does not ask for access to your contacts and does not read them. The permission was needed back when members organized their own meetings and invited people themselves, a flow that no longer exists. Ontaym forms every group itself, so there is nothing your address book would be used for. If you granted it to an older version, you can revoke it in your device or browser settings.
How do I contact support?
Through the ticket system, from the Help page. Describe the issue and submit it; you get a ticket number and can check its status any time. We do not offer email support. Handling every question, bug report and account issue in one place is what keeps answers fair and traceable rather than depending on which inbox a message landed in.
